THE COVE PALISADES STATE PARK
The Cove Palisades State Park is a year-round recreational destination
for the entire family. Located in our high desert region, the weather is
sunny and warm in the summer months and chilly but generally mild in the
winter. The park is situated among towering cliffs that surround
beautiful Lake Billy Chinook.
Fishing guides on Lake Billy Chinook fish for Kokanee, Bass,
Bull Trout and Dolly Varden and stay in luxury houseboats that are
rented from houseboat rentals on the lake. Camping and RV Parks are
located all around Billie Chinook and RV Parks are the way to go and
you can also rent cabins near the lake or rent fishing boats and ski

Deluxe lakeshore log cabins are available. Nature lovers will find
nearly 10 miles of hiking trails that give access to areas rich in
wildlife and splendid scenery.
The park is home to the popular Eagle Watch in February.
Bull Trout, also called Dolly Varden are record size at Lake
Billie Chinook. During February and March these are caught by
fishing guides and fishing enthusiasts on this popular Central
Oregon fishing lakes.

are led weekly during the summer, and on select weekends at other times
of the year.
Crooked River Campground (year round): 91 electrical sites with water;
three deluxe cabins nearby.

sites with water nearby (max. site 60 feet); three group tent areas.

$3 daily day-use fee or buy a 12-month permit for $25, or a 24-month
